クラブに新しくセス先生がメンバーに加わりました！
Hello everyone! Autumn has come and the temperature is finally
getting cooler. I’m not very good with hot temperatures, so this
make me very happy. My home in the U.S., Iowa, is cooler than
Ehime.
However, Ehime has a lot of things that Iowa doesn’t. One of my
favorite things about living in Matsuyama is how close the ocean and
the mountains are! This is great for me, since there are no
mountains in Iowa, and getting to the ocean takes two days of
driving! Iowa is filled with many low hills, and is covered in
fields and small forests. When I was a kid, I would go on
vacation with my family to the Rocky Mountains or the Atlantic Ocean
about once per year. Now that I’m living in Japan, though, it’s
like being on vacation everyday!
When I first came to Japan, I lived and studied in Kyoto for a
year. During that time, I enjoyed climbing up Mt. Hiei.
Since moving to Shikoku, I have climbed up Mt. Ishizuchi and have been
to a number of beautiful beaches, like Hojo and Gogoshima. I have
also been camping a few times, which I really enjoy, because at night I
can see thousands of stars! I haven’t climbed up Mt. Fuji yet,
but one day I hope so.
Have you ever climbed up Mt. Ishizuchi? If not, I recommend it-
it’s a lot of fun! And if you know any other fun locations to go
exploring, please tell me! I’m always looking for someplace new
to enjoy the natural beauty of Japan!

皆さん、こんにちは！秋が来て、ようやく涼しくなってきまし
た。私は暑さがとても苦手なので、涼しくなってとてもうれしいです。私の故郷であるアメリカ・アイオワ州は愛媛よりも涼しいです。
しかし、愛媛には、アイオワにはないものがいろいろあります。松山での私のお気に入りは海や山が近いことです！ アイオワには山がなく、海まで行くのに車
で２日かかります！また、低い丘が多く、野原や小さな森でおおわれています。私が子どものころは、１年に１度、ロッキー山脈や大西洋へ家族と旅行に出かけ
たりしていました。今は日本に住んでいるので、毎日が旅行に来ているような感じです！
私が初めて日本に来たのは、京都で１年間勉強をしていたときです。そのころは、比叡山に登ることを楽しんでいました。四国に来て、石鎚山に登ったり北条や
興居島のようなきれいな海へ行ったりしたことがあります。キャンプにも数回行ったことがありますが、それは本当に楽しく、夜には何千もの星を見ることがで
きます！富士山はまだ登ったことがないのですが、いつか登りたいと思っています。
石鎚山に登ったことはありますか？もしなければ、おすすめします。とっても楽しいですから！また、どこか探検するのに面白い場所を知っていたら私に教えて
ください！ 私は日本の自然の美しさを楽しむことができる新しい場所をいつも探しています。
セス先生はアウトドアが大好きです。趣味は合気道やジャグリングだとか！
そんな趣味を持ちながら、とても落ち着いていて優しい先生なので、子どもたちからも大人気です！皆さんも、ぜひセス先生のレッスンを受けにテンズクラブへ
